What’s wrong with you guys?! I admit, I wouldn’t want to make a meal of olives, but they certainly add a bit of “zing” to salads. And they’re way better than hot peppers….

Can you make a wire cage to fit over the pot and tree? It might discourage them from digging it up, although I must admit your squirrels aren’t easily foiled. Good luck!

May I just say as kindly as possible that you are so very wrong about the movie being better than the book? Rocket Boys, a #1 Best-seller is the most picked book for city/library annual reads and is studied in most school systems. It’s been translated into about twenty different languages. The book (not the movie) is being worked into a Broadway play (www.rocketboysthemusical.com). The movie is just a pale version of the real thing. I should know. I teach the book in my class!

It’s a great pie, all right, although I think the raspberry pie is my favorite. I truly mourn the loss of Grandma’s raspberry patch…I picked wonderful berries there for more than 30 years!
If you want to try a different crust, a chocolate cookie crumb crust is truly outstanding…you can ask Dad for the recipe!
